Toy Design

 

Objective of Class

  • Learn what an engineer does, how an engineer thinks and how to use the Engineering Design Process to develop something new.

ESTEAM

 

Objective of Class

  • Learn  about the world around us using the scientific method and observation. Youth will also learn how to protect the environment using Outdoor Ethics.


Requirements worked on at Camp


  • Entering 3rd Grade (Bear and Brownie)
    • Critter Care - Will complete requirement 2,3,5,7.  Youth will need to complete 1,4, and 6 with their family or den

  • Entering 4th and 5th Grade (Webelos or Junior)
    • Into  the Wild - Will complete requirements 1,4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9.  Youth  will start requirement 2  and 3 but will need to complete with their den  or family after the camp.

    • Important  note about this requirement :We are aiming to finish requirement 5 at  camp but is it dependent on the weather.  Week one was not able to  finish it.   Please be aware of this possible change.

Objectives of Class

  • Learn to basics of photography, photo editing and photographic art design while using the creative design process.

  • Entering 3rd Grade (Bear and Brownie)
    • Roaring Laughter - Will complete requirements 1,2,4 and 5.  Youth will need to finish requirements 3 and 6 with den.

Robotics

 

Objectives of Class

  • Learn what an engineer does and how to think like engineers by building and programming Lego EV3 Robotic sets.  
  • Learn to collaborate by learning, designing and program the robotics to perform task in groups of two to three.

  • Entering 3rd Grade (Bear or Brownie)
    • Robotics - Will complete requirements 1,2,4 and 5.   Youth will need to finish requirements 3 and 6 with their den.
